When an evaluation is needed

Persistent tooth pain, lingering sensitivity, pain when biting, or swelling can be signs of a problem, although some infections produce few symptoms. We examine the tooth and review appropriate imaging before recommending treatment. Call the office if you have swelling or worsening pain rather than waiting for a routine checkup.

What treatment involves

After numbing the area, the clinician removes the affected tissue, cleans and shapes the root canals, and seals the tooth. A filling or crown may then be needed to protect it and restore your bite. We discuss the number of appointments, comfort options, and follow-up care for your case. Continued home care and dental examinations help protect the treated tooth.
