Silverlake Dental Group uses platelet concentrate technology, such as platelet-rich fibrin, after selected surgical procedures. A small blood sample is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and growth factors that drive natural healing.

Where it helps

The concentrate is placed into extraction sites, bone grafts and implant or gum procedures. Because it comes from your own blood, it supports healing and soft-tissue recovery without added synthetic materials.

What to expect

The blood draw is quick, much like a routine lab test, and the concentrate is prepared during your appointment. The doctor will let you know if it is recommended for your procedure.
